Urban Raw Festival is a unique day-long festival that seeks to nurture our creative and spiritual potential by bringing people together who want to celebrate the gifts of Mother Earth in their natural state.  Come and enjoy everything from music, food demos (vegan and living), acrobatics by RECREATION STUDIOS, children's readers theatre, dynamic workshop presentations, an exclusive performance of the original play THROUGH THE EYES OF A BUTTERFLY, documentary film screenings and partner yoga: all of which inspire us to live consciously and intentionally.  This festival experience encourages participation in the realization that we are all a part of the universal process, small parts that join together to make the whole of creation and being. By exploring our natural state and living 'in the raw', we can have a better understanding of the symbiotic relationship that exist between all creatures that populate this planet and the land on which we all live - a community in the true sense of the word. If you are interested in participating in workshops, dancing, drumming, eating or simply relaxing with friends and family in the beautiful surroundings of Wildwood Park for the Arts, Urban Raw Festival is where you need to be.

The Urban Raw Festival was conceived in 2013 by a partnership between NBHT, Inc. and the Academy of Creative Arts, in conjunction with Shorter College, as a way for us to generate interest in building healthy communities to benefit undernourished children and families. NBHT's primary initiative is to create a comprehensive health and wellness education program that is focused on organic and living foods, along with integrative holistic health practices in the midst of an industrial, urban community.

There is an urgent need for more diverse information concerning the natural healing effects that can be derived from a raw and/or vegan plant based diet. Our goal is to introduce as many people as possible to the wide variety of choices available when it comes to improving their quality of life here in Little Rock, North Little Rock, and the surrounding metropolitan communities.
