Makeda’s Nido (Makeda's Nest) is a dramatic series that explores the life of Makeda Baptiste. Makeda Baptiste is a divorcee who has started her new life in a new town.  Recouping from a traumatic loss, Makeda moves into her house and hopes to transform it into a place where people can find warmth, solace and good healthy food.  What she doesn’t know is that these people in her community are there to support her beyond her understanding on this new path that she has chosen to take. the cast of characters that cross her threshold teach her about love, compassion, friendship and community. Makeda’s complex past collides with her present life and she discovers that not only do they need her, but she needs them, too. Makeda's Nido examines our relationships to ourselves, each other, our pasts, where we live and the food that we eat.
